My Approach

I offer an integrative approach to bodywork that combines elements of Zero Balancing, Reiki, Shiatsu, clinical training, and intuition. My sessions address both the musculoskeletal structure and the energetic system, helping clients reduce pain, release chronic tension, and restore a sense of balance and well-being. I tailor each treatment to the individual, using gentle, effective techniques to support the body’s natural healing process. My calm presence and focused attention create a safe, supportive space— whether you’re dealing with physical discomfort, emotional stress, or recovering from long-term challenges.

My training has emphasized therapies that support pain relief, energy flow, and hands-on healing. I have worked in Chronic Pain Management for over 25 years. Earlier in my career, I studied Osteopathy (Manual Practice) at the Canadian College of Osteopathy— a unique form of manual therapy focused on restoring mobility and balance. I then expanded into Energy Kinesiology, influenced by both Western science and Eastern medicine. This path led me to deepen my understanding of the Chinese Medicine system and to become a Reiki Master, Polarity Therapist, and Qigong/Tai Chi practitioner.

This blend of structural and energetic work allows me to meet clients where they are and offer holistic care that supports healing on multiple levels.

What does Zero Balancing Mean?

Zero Balancing gets its name from the idea of bringing the body and mind into a state of “zero” — a place of neutral balance where deep healing and integration can occur. The term “zero” refers to a still point in the body-mind system — not too much, not too little — just enough balance to allow the system to naturally reorganize. It’s not an absence of energy, but rather a poised potential, a clear, quiet space where healing can begin. Much like rebooting a computer to clear errors and restore function, Zero Balancing helps the body return to a baseline — free from tension, noise, and old patterns — so it can reset and restore.

The “balancing” part refers to the unique way this method works with both structure and energy at the same time. By gently addressing the bones, joints, and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps restore alignment on all levels — physical, emotional, and energetic. Clients often leave feeling grounded, lighter, and more mentally clear, as if body and mind have come into a smoother rhythm.

As Dr. Fritz Smith, the founder of Zero Balancing, described it: “Zero Balancing brings a person into a state of balance at zero — a point of rest from which real change can emerge.” Drawing from both osteopathy and Eastern energy traditions, he developed this method to bridge structural touch with energetic awareness — helping people return to a calm, balanced state where healing can arise from within.

What can I expect during a session?

Sessions take place fully clothed on a comfortable table. You’ll start with a brief check-in, then ease into gentle touch and subtle techniques that support both the structure and energy of the body. Expect a quiet, calming experience that’s guided by what your body needs that day.

How is this different from traditional massage?

Zero Balancing and Reiki go beyond surface-level relief by working directly with the body’s structure and energy systems. Zero Balancing focuses on core alignment and the skeletal system, helping to release tension at its root — not just where it shows up. This work also offers a powerful reset for the nervous system, shifting the body from a state of fight-or-flight into rest and restore mode, where true healing can take place. Many clients find that pain relief lasts longer because tight muscles are often just a symptom. By addressing the underlying cause, these therapies offer lasting clarity, ease, and transformation — all without force or pressure.

Though subtle in touch, the effects are profound. Clients frequently describe feeling deeply calm, more in tune with their bodies, less pain and stiffness, and improved sleep. Many leave with a grounded, lighter sensation that stays with them long after the session ends. This isn’t just massage — it’s a different kind of care, designed to meet the body gently, deeply, and effectively.

How long does it take to feel results?

Some people feel immediate relief, a sense of calm, or improved alignment after just one session. For deeper issues or chronic patterns, it may take several sessions to fully unwind and rebalance. Everyone’s experience is different.

Do I need to undress for this work?

You stay fully clothed. Just wear something comfortable that allows for relaxation and gentle movement on the table.

Is this type of work right for me?

This approach is great for those dealing with stress, chronic pain, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling out of alignment. It’s also a good fit if you’re looking for something more subtle and holistic than traditional bodywork.

How much does a session cost?

Sessions are $100 each and typically last about an hour. If you're curious or have questions before booking, feel free to reach out for a brief consultation.
